Visage Mobile raises $4.5 million to improve MobilityCentral and scale our customer facing teams
We are pleased to announce that we just closed $4.5m in a new round of funding that will allow us to substantially expand our MobilityCentral application by not only building all the enhancements our customers have requested from us but also make our app more bulletproof and scaleable. We are committed to using this investment to do everything in our power to make our customers even more satisfied than they are today. Our customers are our greatest asset and we are always aiming to develop features and processes that strengthen our value proposition to our end users.
More specifically, the new funding will be invested in our engineering and QA teams as well as in our account management/adoption teams. These additional resources will enable us to grow our business and expand our product functionality – all while providing exemplary customer support and training.
We are especially excited to announce that Qualcomm is investing in us. As a market leader in the core technology that powers cellphones, smartphones and mobile broadband, they are the ideal investor to help us navigate the mobile landscape. With this funding we expect to be profitable in 4-5 quarters and on the path to true business sustainability. Additionally, we can’t help but point out some of the major themes that came out in their due diligence process. In particular, the size and diversity of our customer base as well as the breadth of market opportunity that we are pursuing.
Qualcomm took the opportunity to invest in Visage Mobile not only because of these positive results from their diligence but also because they found substantial linkage between corporations utilizing our application and a much higher penetration rate of smartphones and mobile broadband in the employee bases of these companies. Qualcomm’s business benefits greatly from increased 3G usage on laptops in the corporate environment as well as increased adoption of smartphones because most of these devices are dominated by Qualcomm’s semiconductors.
In the future we plan to share more product news that will result from a close collaboration between our two companies.
